It’s official! By now, the majority of the more than 17,000 athletes representing 205 countries have moved into the Olympic Village and are bracing themselves for the commencement of the 2012 Olympic Games in London! The fun starts today, July 27th, and is scheduled to conclude on August 12th in the capitol of Great Britain. The grand city of London has hosted the games twice before (in 1908 and 1948 for you future Jeopardy participants out there) and will become the first city to stage the Olympics three times with the completion of this year’s Summer games.
