Now that it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it is time to grab your pink and get involved in this worthy cause. Whether you’re a survivor, friend, relative, advocate, or just want to be involved, there are a lot of fun events around the country to help raise awareness. Check them out and see which ones are near you!
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer: This event occurs in almost every state in the country. According to the American Cancer Society’s website, the “walk is unique and special as the story motivates you.” Some cities holding the event are Downtown Los Angeles, CA on October 9th, Brooklyn, New York on October 20th, and Phoenix, Arizona on October 26th. Bras Across the Bridge: This event is under the radar, but its message is pretty clear. Participants write messages on their bras and hang them to symbolize the person in their life with breast cancer. While Bras Across the Bridge varies throughout the year, you can check out their Facebook page here for the nearest event near you: http://on.fb.me/19wbXOZ

Think Pink Collection: Here at Nissa Jewelry, we decided to raise awareness by creating this limited edition collection. These pieces are the perfect way to support and donate to a national cause. 20% of the proceeds from this collection will contribute to a non-profit organization searching for a cure: http://bit.ly/17jPIfp
