While we were all sitting around the studio brainstorming a fun new contest for this week, our resident Photoshop pro, Alison brought up a favorite game from her past. Remember back in the day when you were given two pictures- the first very similar to the second yet with a few things added or changed? If you do then get excited and if you don’t then get pumped to finally discover the awesomeness that is the ‘spot the differences’ game! 

Examine the following two pictures and count the number of differences you spot. Yep, it’s that easy! Once you feel that you have found all of the changes we made, comment your guess on our corresponding Facebook post and you’ll be entered to win a pair of our Casablanca earrings (in silver)!

The ‘skinny’:

1. Repin your favorite piece from our Contest One board on our Pinterest page and make it the cover photo of your storyboard. 
2. Please ensure your storyboard has at least 10 pins but no more than 50.

We’ve got a fresh new idea that we think will add a little extra fun to your Fridays:) Starting today, we will be launching contests bi-weekly that will allot you, our loyal customers, the opportunity to win some free Nissa Jewelry trinkets while dabbling in some of the most popular social media outlets! 

Contest One is shining the light on one of our guiltiest pleasures- Pinterest! The idea is quite simple: choose from the three featured customer favorites above and create an inspiration board that you feel accurately depicts the personality of the piece: who would wear it? what would they wear it with? where would they wear it? The possibilities for your pins are endless and we want you to run with whatever the Nissa gem inspires inside of you!

We will be choosing the board that stands out to us the most and the savvy ‘styler’ will be sent the Nissa Jewelry piece that they created their board around! So take a break from the monotony that is the workweek, pick your favorite bauble, and get pinning! We can’t wait to see what you all create:)

The forecast for today is a high of 72 and sunny and we could not be happier! What a beautiful platform to celebrate ‘National World Environment Day’. If you guys are not familiar with this holiday, it is an initiative developed in 1972 by the United Nations Environment Programme in an effort to perpetuate positive environmental action. There are more than 9,000 registered activities taking place today, June 5th, around the globe and we at Nissa Jewelry are excited to be participating in the festivities! 

Through World Environment Day, the UN is able to not only highlight pressing environmental issues but also provides an outlet to encourage all citizens of the world to adopt a more ‘green’ lifestyle. Nissa has long held this belief and since the conception of Nissa Jewelry in 2008, has strived to incorporate her sustainable efforts into all niches of the business.

Each unique Nissa piece is handmade in New York City meaning that mass producing machines which emit ozone depleting greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, have never been part of the picture. In addition to this, each bauble is made primarily from recycled materials, again aligning with our ‘eco-friendly’ company culture. Lastly, Nissa routinely scours old estate sales and antique markets (meeting many characters along the way) to find the most beautiful and eclectic vintage trinkets that not only inspire our unparalleled designs but are also incorporated into some of customer’s favorite Nissa gems.

Now that you know about our environmental efforts we want to turn the spotlight to you- our wonderful customers! In celebration of the 40th anniversary of National World Environment Day we are including a free recycled wood bracelet (as seen below) with each order (of any quantity) that is placed today from our online store.
